![]() They do all the heavy behind the scenes lifting and the music is just there. No trying to get your network set up so you can access on the go. ![]() No futzing with directories or naming or trying to actually make a digital copy of a disc you own. Pro for Spotify is you don't have to worry about ripping cds and maintaining a host for music or media files. I have my own small server that I run, so it works perfectly for me. The big con is that you need something to host it with. You can pay once for a lifetime pass and then you've got the program to use for life. It's a program for your own personal media server. I'm sure there are people who depend on having Downloads and Settings down there, but to me that's wasted screen real estate. Just having permanent buttons along the bottom of the screen to go to Artists and Playlists would make it so much more user-friendly. Really just very frustrating because usually when I'm using Plexamp, I'm doing something like driving (EDIT: at a stoplight, not while moving) or mowing the lawn where more and more precise taps are a pain. Also was trying it on a car stereo running Android 11 that had the display in landscape, and it was worse, but with the same number of steps. Really inspires me to listen to that album right then.Īndroid 12. If an album came out a multiple of five years ago, it will show that on the front page. Yes, they have lyrics for most songs and if you tap a certain word, you’ll shuttle to that point in the song If you make a playlist and download it, your download will stay current to the playlist even if you add/remove songs to that playlist. This will play songs (about an hour or two) starting from older songs you have, making their way through time to current.ĭownloads. I haven’t done it yet but I wanna try like a jazz song from the 30’s and a deafheaven song and see what happens. Check out sonic journey (enter at least two songs, and it will make …journeys of music between each song of similar music.
